The Ensemble
Alma Ensemble is a collective of award-winning musicians and professional dancers united by a passion for creating expressive and imaginative live performances.
Bringing together classical music, dance and storytelling, the ensemble explores the connections between musical traditions, revealing the rhythms, emotions and cultural influences that give each work its unique character.
Founded by three musicians and two dancers, Alma Ensemble has a particular affinity for Spanish classical music and the rich folk traditions that have shaped its sound. Through a close dialogue between instrumentalists and dancers, the ensemble brings these influences to the stage, allowing music and movement to illuminate and inspire one another.
Its programmes range from celebrated masterpieces to lesser-known gems and unexpected discoveries. Each performance is thoughtfully conceived to offer a fresh perspective on the repertoire, combining musical artistry with the expressive power of dance.
At the heart of Alma Ensemble is a belief that classical music should be a living, shared experience. Whether welcoming seasoned concertgoers or audiences discovering this world for the first time, the ensemble seeks to create performances that are intimate, engaging and deeply human.
